[glow=green,5,300]"Don'tcha wish the stupid Mud People would have left well enough alone?" Chix asks as though he's been thinking the same thing, "We'd be topside right now...under real stars...breathing fresh air. At least you can still go topside on missions. I'm not allowed. Haven't been since the B'wa Kell thing."
The sprite sits upside down on the bench, his feet draped over the back and his head hanging off the seat. His shades are hanging from his ears above his head and his emerald gaze is fixed on the not-so-bright holographic stars.[/glow]

"If only the Mud Men would've minded their own business! I sure wish we could go up there and have a truely romantic night."
Holly chews her lip at the fact that the Mud Men have run them off the earth. But she calms herself, hoping someday they will be able to roam the earth again.

[glow=green,5,300]"Maybe one day they'll come around and stop trying to kill everything they see as a threat to their 'superiority'," Chix blinks, startled by his own statement, "Wow. I must have had a rare moment of intellect there. I don't use big words very often. Maybe hangin' out with you is making me smart."[/glow]

"I dunno. You might have to hang around me more, you might get some education. Maybe I could tutor you, that way you'll be smarter."
Holly winks at Chix. Because he was giving her credit for making him feel smart.

[glow=green,5,300]"Well, if nothing else, you could teach me some of Foaly's language," Chix shrugs, "I'm tellin' you, there's no way that guy speaks in plain Gnommish. I don't understand a word he says. All I get is 'blah-blah-blah...computers...blah-blah-blah...technology...blah-blah-blah...software'. Doesn't make any sense to me. I don't know how you put up with it."[/glow]

"You need to understand Centaurian, that's how they speak. With all the software and junk."
Holly hands Chix a book, not just any book, a math book.
"Here use this, it will give you good education."
Holly kisses him on the cheek.

[glow=green,5,300]"Oh, cool! A doorstop," Chix grins, admiring the book, "Thanks, Holly. I love it!"
His wings take to buzzing so rapidly that he ends up hovering a foot off the ground after Holly kisses him. He comes back to the ground very lightly and forces his wings to fold neatly behind him, trying to resist taking off again.[/glow]

"You need to read it, Chix. I just think you should do that instead of using every book you get as a doorstop."
Holly can't resist but to giggle about him thinking it's a doorstop.
"Don't start flying again, you'll hurt yourself."

[glow=green,5,300]"Trying not to," Chix says in response to the no-flying suggestion, "And as far as books go, I don't read much more than a few comic books--and that's only once in a great while. Reading is such a waste of time."
He idly flips through the pages of the math book. Never mind the fact that he's holding it and looking at it upside down.
"It's hard for me to focus on books that don't have any pictures," he mutters, licking a finger and turning a page, "I have a fairly short attention span, y'know."[/glow]

"You're holding it upside-down, Chix. Maybe if you held it like this you would understand it, but enough of that subject. So are you having a good time?"
Holly tries not to be rude by thinking Chix isn't the brightest crayon in the box. But he ignores that fact and she starts tap dancing.
"Do you want tap dancing lessons?"

[glow=green,5,300]"Sweetie, I invented dance," Chix brags, leaping to his feet and doing a few Flamenco moves, "I can dance anything, anyplace, anytime. You name it, I can dance it. If there's one class I didn't fail in school, it's dance."[/glow]

"Maybe you should make a career out of dancing. That I know you're very good at, so try giving dance lessons."
Holly knows Chix is good at dancing, and she thinks he should make a career out of it.

[glow=green,5,300]"Nah, I can't quit the LEP," Chix replies absently, "I mean, I'm an asset to the service. What would they do without me?"
Chix would like to believe that his services are that vital to the operation of the Lower Elements Police, but everyone knows otherwise. The sprite spends more time showing off for the girls than he does actually doing his job.[/glow]

Trouble is out, wandering around Haven City. He doesn't have to work the nightshift as much as Grub. So he decided to take a stroll through the park, and he can't help but notice Chix and Holly talking so he decides to evesdrop in on their conversation.
"Hey, Chix! You know, you shouldn't add the "e" and the "t", because you sure can act like that at times!"
Trouble walks away cackling at his little crack, knowing that it will take a long time for Chix's tiny brain to register the fact that he has been insulted.

[glow=green,5,300]"Hey!" Chix pauses, his face going completely blank as he stares at Trouble for a moment, blinking stupidly, "Uh...I don't get it."
Shrugging off Trouble's snide remarks, the easy-going sprite returns to his blissful ignorance as he continues trying to impress Captain Short.[/glow]
