Well, you asked for another fan fic, so here we go.
Artemis Fowl: The Ages of Darkness
Epilogue
What happened to Haven in this age? Why was there so much bloodshed in the streets that day? Only one can tell that story; I lived it, I smelled the blood that our officers shed, I watched them go down with humility and honor to serve their city. Was it a fun battle? No! The leftover of the B’wa Kell sent the our reinforcements into a severe plummet in the horror of that long and hard battle. We would’ve fought with more gusto and pride, but there was no point in losing what we had left for the sake of our pride. I stood in the puddles of fluids our brothers in the LEPrecon Special Forces. What a mess our city was in, what tragedy hit our city that day. Let the story progress, and you will know what happened.
Chapter 1: The Peace
Downtown Haven
Holly Short and Grub Kelp were patrolling an abandoned city block in an armored Magna-Strip van. The van was created for special patrol teams to enter the line of fire in; of course, this armored vehicle was more advanced than you could know, with the constant beeping and whirring of mechanical equipment. This vehicle was more advanced than the newest M1-A1 Abrams tank that the Army of the Mud People uses. A shell from a B’wa Kell demolition expert’s cannon could overturn it, but it would only have a blast mark from the projectile.
Holly put on a pair of night-vision goggles to check the dark alleyways; just to make sure that there wasn’t any goblins using graffiti on the walls of the buildings. Nothing there, just some piles of trash. Holly looked over at her passenger. “Status report, Corporal.” Grub winced because he was nervous and jumpy, thinking that there could be goblins anywhere. “Do you have to talk so loud? Honestly, I’m only two feet away from you.” The Corporal sulked as he ran an analysis on the computers of the armored van. Holly scowled good thing she was wearing he helmet, the expression on her face would’ve made Grub turn whiter than an unpainted statue.
“Why do you have to whine every time I talk to you? I wasn’t talking loud, just stern and commanding.” Grub opened his mouth to throw out a complaint. “Yes you were! You aren’t supposed to raise your voice at me, only Mommy can do that!” Grub’s lip stuck out like a dwarf walking around in public without buttoning his bum flap. Holly just rolled her eyes. “Keep your eyes open for anything suspicious, Kelp, otherwise I can just dump you out of this van, and if there are any goblins left, let the chase you back to Police Plaza.” Grub was worried, would he rather whine, or have goblins chase him, he decided to leave the whining out of the subject. “Nothing here, Captain Short. Just more piles of garbage.”
Holly sighed. “Looks like this patrol is over, we’ve done most of the city blocks, and no sign of any goblins. I’d better contact the Commander.” Holly pressed a button on the dashboard of the van, a voice came on the air, it was Foaly’s voice replacing Commander Julius Root’s voice. Foaly answered the communicator. “Foaly, speaking. How may I assist you?” The centaur said smugly.
Holly answered back. “Oh, Foaly. I have a question to ask; is it all right if the Corporal and me return to Police Plaza? We need Commander Root’s okay, right?” Foaly sighed. “It’s fine with me, although, he might throw a fit about it when he gets back from lunch.” Holly answered. “We’ll be back at headquarters ASAP.” Foaly signed off, Holly drove the vehicle with determination back to base. Then, Grub started whining again. “I’ve gotta pee! And there’s no bathroom!” Holly sneered. “You can hold it, Police Plaza is just a block away!” Grub continued to moan. “Please, hurry! I can’t hold it much longer!”
Holly wanted to think of something nasty to say back to Grub, but now wasn’t the time, nor the place. She didn’t want to be cleaning the van up after Grub’s mess. They made it to the Plaza, and for a miracle, Grub managed to hold it.
Police Plaza
Grub ran to the bathroom as fast as his legs could carry him. He finally got there, and for once, managed to hold his urine until he got to the bathroom. He emerged from the bathroom with a piece of tissue paper hanging from his foot. Grub sighed. “That was a relief! I almost didn’t make it!” Holly was walking down the hallway, she removed her helmet, just in time for Commander Root to yell on the P.A. “SHORT, GET IN HERE!” Holly answered to his “call” and hurried to his office. Ready for him to scream and watch the color of his face turn from nut brown, to red, to purple, to greener than a sprite’s behind.
