"No I'm serious, I think something happend back there. I don't know what but I'm suspicious."
Holly sinks into soft leather chair, drooping her arms and sighing.
"I know something happend, Foaly. I just know it."

"Well, you're in the infirmary," Foaly points out gently, "Why not get a warlock to have a look at you...see if anything seems weird? If anyone will know, they should. I'm afraid I'm not much help when it comes to medical problems, Holly."

"I just don't know, Foaly, I have a sick feeling in my stomach. I'll be fine though."
Holly knows Foaly is right, she hasn't been feeling good for a while. She hopes and prays that it's just a stage in turning 80 years-old. But her feeling in her stomach is just churning at her, and it makes her even more sick.
"I'd better check with the warlocks, they'll know what to do."

"Good plan," Foaly agrees, his fingers flying over the keyboards as he sends commands into the computer, "Maybe you should ask that one you officers kept mowing down in the hallways. I'm running a vitals scan on Chix."
At a single keystroke, all of Chix's current medical status shows up in a window on screen. The bespectacled centaur's golden eyes flit over the text quickly, confirming everything is as it should be. The sprite's breathing is normal, but his pulse is still a bit elevated. He isn't sure why, but he feels it may be necessary to run a thermal scan on Chix's room. After doing so, he detects a faint trace of heat...almost as though someone had just slinked out of the room. Perhaps someone who has no right to be in there.

" I sure hope it's nothing serious Foaly, if I'm out of comission everything will be in ruins!"
Holly goes into the infrimary, hoping nothing is wrong. But things aren't as they seem. She is in extreme danger.

[glow=green,5,300]Though he should still be completely unconscious from the painkillers, Chix has somehow found his way back to the waking world--just in time to spot Holly coming back into the infirmary...and the shadow of someone else leaving. His mind is too foggy to make much sense of anything, but he can see the look of uneasiness on the captain's features.
"What's wrong, Cap'?" he calls out weakly, "You look like you've seen a ghost...or a troll...or a ghost troll...or something really s...s...scary. What's up?"
Chix voice is slow and slurred as though he's drunk, but this is only because of the drowsy effects of the painkillers. His eyes are half-closed and keep crossing every now and again as he struggles to focus.[/glow]

Holly heads to the emergancy room, feeling extremely sick. Soon a warlock medic is pushing her down the hall in a wheel chair, two medics lift her up, and put her on the cot next to Chix.
"Chix, I don't feel good. I feel extremely sick, help me."
That was Holly's last words to Chix, she had a fever of 110 degrees, terrible chills, and she felt like every bone in her body was broken. She was slowly and painfully slipping away. She did not know this but the troll in the streets had sliced her with both it's tusks and talons.
"Check her plus, we're losing her! She's fading, their is nothing we can do." The warlock medics use two shock pads to try and revive her, but it did no good. Soon Holly went into shock. The internal check of her breathing rate was gone, and so was her heart beat. She was offically gone. "We're sorry, it's all we could do."

[glow=green,5,300]"Don't gimme that load of troll dung!" Chix barks, summoning what little strength he has to get angry and grab the medic by his shirt collar, "You're not trying hard enough. Don't you dare let my captain die--ya hear me?"
Pushing the warlock away, Chix reaches for Holly's hand and takes it in his own, squeezing it gently, silently willing her to stay alive. He has gotten attached to his captain--even though 90% of the time they are bickering with each other--and the last thing he wants is to lose possibly the only friend he has.
"Cap', if you can hear me, don't go all wimpy on me now," he whispers, "The LEP needs ya, Cap'. You've survived tangles with trolls before and you can do it again. You're stronger than I am and if I can do it, it oughta be a snap for you."[/glow]

Holly opens her eyes, seeing that Chix is there holding her hand. She manages to speak weakly, something that no one could understand. But she stares at Chix and smiles.
"Thank you. You're a good officer Chix, the best private I've ever seen. I love you as a friend. But none other, okay?"
Holly still holds on to Chix's hand as she gasps for air. The only thing Holly needed to revive her, was the love of a caring friend.
"I've never had a friend that cares so much about me."

[glow=green,5,300]"So can I take that as a 'maybe' answer to my asking you out?" Chix asks with a teasing grin, "I'm glad you decided to stick around."
His green face goes a couple shades greener as he blushes in response to Holly's compliment. He's never really been told he was a good officer and coming from Holly, it surprises him.
"Speaking of friends that care, I'm surprised Foaly didn't pick up on your vitals," he muses, studying the IV tube snaking down to the needle in his vein, "There's some weird stuff goin' on around here, Cap'. Gives me the creeps if I'm perfectly honest."[/glow]

"Maybe I'll take you out, I might consider it. Other than that, I think I had probably a severe case of food poisoning."
Holly's nut-brown skin starts to turn from nut-brown to a slightly darker brown. Do to blushing from Chix commenting her on being a great captain. She might be considering taking Chix out, if he isn't annoying.
"Promise me you'll keep your pants from falling down, do to being nervous?"

[glow=green,5,300]"Hey, are you calling me scrawny or somethin'?" Chix frowns, trying to figure out if Holly has made the pants comment due to his being a little on the skinny side, "Because I'll have you know, I'm actually quite athletic."
He winces as he shifts his weight and, in so doing, he feels a fresh sting from his wound. Since blue sparks alone aren't enough to heal it up, he's been scheduled for stitches as soon as the next gnome doctor takes his shift.[/glow]

"No, it's whenever your around a cute girl, your pants fall down. I'm not saying your skinny, I just saying that, that happens to you everytime your around a girl."
Holly smiles at Chix, her smile is warm and caring, but she just can't get past the fact that Chix saved her life.

[glow=green,5,300]"Who told you that?" Chix starts to laugh, but thinks twice when even the start of a chuckle gives him a considerable amount of pain, "The only thing that happens when I'm around a pretty girl is I get slapped--for no reason! I open my mouth to say something and before I get a word out--whack! What's up with that? I'm not a bad guy, am I?"[/glow]

"I don't know either, maybe you just need to let someone find you, Chix. Someone sweet, romantic, and someone who won't slap you either."
Holly tries to resist the thought of dating Chix. But she wants to do something in return for talkiong her out of the nearly-dead stupor.
